JIS G3456 Specification

Our JIS G3456 carbon steel pipes come in two primary manufacturing processes: Electric resistance welded and seamless. The electric resistance welded pipes have a size range of O.D.: 15.0~660mm and W.T.: 2~20mm, available in grades STPT370 and STPT410. On the other hand, our seamless pipes, which can be hot-finished or cold-finished, range in size from O.D.: 15.0~660mm and W.T.: 2~50mm. These are available in grades STPT370, STPT410, and STPT480. Regardless of your choice, we ensure that the pipes have a standard length of 6M or as specified by your requirements. Both types come with plain or beveled ends, ensuring a perfect fit for your projects.

For hot-working seamless steel pipes, the allowable deviation in outer diameter ranges from ±0.5mm for pipes under 50mm to ±0.8% for pipes over 200mm. For cold-working seamless steel and electric-resistance welded steel pipes, the allowable deviation is ±0.03mm for pipes up to 40mm and ±0.8% for pipes over 40mm. Chemical Requirements of JIS G3456

Our JIS G3456 pipes have a stringent chemical composition to ensure durability and high performance. The carbon content for grades STPT370, STPT410, and STPT480 are ≤0.25%, ≤0.30%, and ≤0.33% respectively. The silicon content ranges from 0.10-0.35% across all grades. The manganese content varies between 0.30-0.90% for STPT370 and 0.30-1.00% for STPT410 and STPT480. All grades have phosphorus and sulfur contents of ≤0.035%.

Mechanical Requirements of JIS G3456

Our pipes are designed to withstand the rigors of high-temperature applications. The yield strengths for STPT370, STPT410, and STPT480 are ≥216 MPa, ≥245 MPa, and ≥275 MPa, respectively. The tensile strengths are ≥370 MPa for STPT370, ≥410 MPa for STPT410, and ≥480 MPa for STPT480. These mechanical properties ensure that our pipes can handle the pressures of your projects without compromise.

Steel Grades in JIS G3456
